Information about the Nfb of SC Spartanburg Chapter
We were established in 1957 as the first chapter of the national Federation of the blind of SC, formally known as the aurora club Created in 1944, under the apple tree, at the SC school for the deaf and blind.
We continue to have a large presence in the Spartanburg Blind community And remain an important chapter in the upstate of South Carolina. Our membership is involved in many of the committees And divisions of the state affiliate. we have a passion to be an integral member of our blind community on an educational, physical, Emotional, and spiritual level. we welcome all to attend and join a monthly Chapter meeting or any of our planned events throughout the year.
We believe in promoting the well-being
Of the blind And caring about All members of our community, not only in Spartanburg county, but throughout the state of South Carolina.
