National Convention Sponsorship Fund
The National Convention Sponsorship Fund supports members of the National Federation of the Blind of South Carolina by helping offset the cost of attending the National Convention. This sponsorship is an investment in leadership development, learning, and active participation. Sponsored individuals are expected to represent the organization professionally, engage in convention activities, and contribute to fundraising efforts that support future members.
All applications must be completed and submitted by April 30th, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern. No exceptions.
If selected, recipients are required to attend General Sessions and work at least two of the following activities during national convention:
- NFB of South Carolina Fundraising Table at the Exhibit Hall
- Independence Market at the Exhibit Hall
- Talking Signs.
Recipients should be willing to share experiences during the NFB Of SC Annual State Convention.
Essay Requirements
Applicants must submit a written essay incorporating the answers to the following questions:
- What led you to joining the National Federation of the Blind?
- If selected, what do you hope to gain from attending the National Convention?
- What areas of interest do you have concerning blindness or low vision, and how can attending the convention help you gain a better understanding?
Essays should be thoughtful, clear, and reflect your commitment to personal growth and involvement in the organization.
You must also submit a recommendation letter from a Chapter or division President
